HOME INSPECTORS
You have found the home of your dreams and you've negotiated an accepted
offer on it. The next step is to make sure that the home you are buying is all
that it appears to be. The goal of a home inspection is to evaluate the
current condition of the structure. It's not to pass or fail the home, but
to objectively report the condition to the buyer. A qualified inspector will
indicate situations that need immediate attention, like those that affect the
safety of the home or can cause deterioration of the home over time if not
corrected. They will also report the positive features of the home and give you
tips on routine maintenance. At the end of the inspection, you will have a
comprehensive view of the condition of the home. Remember, however, that the
perfect home that does not need any work does not exist. How much work your
new home requires is often directly related to the price you are paying for it.
